Sol2Expo, the International Exhibition on Olive Oils, certainly appreciated the work of the Olio di Calabria IGP Consortium, which was able to represent Calabria at one of the most attended industry events ever. There were two important dissemination meetings, in addition to active participation throughout the fair in the Region’s pavilion. The first hosted the conference titled “Un tuffo nell’oro,” organized by the Consorzio Olio di Calabria Igp, where the relationship between sport, nutrition and wellness was discussed, inside Hall 2/Stand E3-E4/Regione Calabria.
During the day, the stand’s guest was the Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida, who spoke, among others, with the President of the Consortium Olio di Calabria Igp Massimino Magliocchi, with the Councillor for Agriculture of the Region of Calabria Gianluca Gallo, with the Director of the Consortium Olio di Calabria Igp Giuseppe Perri and with the Olympic diving champion of the Italian National Team and Olio di Calabria Igp testimonial Giovanni Tocci, to talk about the state of the art of olive growing in Calabria. And the second with the conference “A unique and inimitable label” centered on the new anti-counterfeiting collar, realized in collaboration with Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato. Introduced by Giuseppe Perri, Director of Consorzio Olio di Calabria IGP, and speakers were Massimino Magliocchi, President of Consorzio Olio di Calabria IGP, Annalisa Griffo, IPZS Agrifood Market Unit Manager, Fulvia Caligiuri, ARSAC General Manager, and Gianluca Gallo, Calabria Region Agriculture Councillor.
Lots of praise for the Consortium at the annual event that brings together producers, experts, buyers and innovators from around the world to explore the future of vegetable oils. “The new edition of a historic fair, SOL, evolves to become the international benchmark,” reiterated President Magliocchi. A unique and immersive experience that placed olive oil, sustainability and the excellence of the Calabrian product at the center.
